Sue's Message To The World:
"We all have a variety of talents that we can appreciate and love. It would be a boring world if we all thought and acted the same and wore the same clothes, etc. We should celebrate our uniqueness and differing points of view. I love to make thing that are one of a kind, that make a statement and put a smile on someone's face!"
When I was a little girl, my mom made all my clothes. She was a designer, seamstress, painter, embroiderer, and knitter, and I got caught up in this beautiful world! I later went to college, receiving a Masters in speech and hearing. However, instead of using my degree for a job, I became a designer and seamstress myself. I owned my own business making high-end clothing for legislators. I later joined the clothing and textiles department for BYU College in Utah.
I love making something out of nothing! It feeds my soul to know that I created something extraordinary that has never existed before. I find joy in the unique expression and unusual ways to treat fabric, paint, wool, beads, leather, and stitching. I love witnessing just how far I can go with my art. I have been a teacher, designer, knitter, quilter, and artist for many years now, and I invite you to come along on my continued journey of exploration!
